And the story continues..........

Well, some of you might have read my previous Blog titled, Ultima 1 revisited, which was my journey to figure out and program Ultima 1 using an original Apple 2e with original software.  I wanted to record my entire journey using a blog, video, and code.  It was, at the time, an amazing experience learning the apple 2e, making contact with amazing people like Beth Daggart,

You can find that blog here:

https://ultima-revisited.blogspot.com/2011/04/ultima-1-revisited.html

That blog ended around December 2011 with the project unfinished yet I was able to figure out how to create and program the entire world maps and move around them in Assembly language using different character images and movements.  It was a huge labor of love and I learned a lot from that experience.

Today I'm continuing that journey but on a new system.  My Apple 2e computer died and since I had a Commodore 64 in my garage I thought, why not?!  I will restart the journey "dream" using an original Commodore 64 with original software.

This blog will continue the same process of learning the game, learning how to program in assembly, learning new techniques, and writing up reviews of the Commodore 64 books I read along the way.

I will have to restart this journey since the apple and the commodore are different computer but Assembly is assembly and it should be a relatively easy process to cross over.

So, if you were following along on the last blog and find yourself interested in this type of project but on a Commodore 64, then I would say please follow along and hopefully you will learn something too.

Here is my new Commodore 64C setup

Currently I'm going through all my books, documentation and old blog.  The only program with the blog is its for the apple and I need to either convert everything to C64 or rewrite and relearn everything from scratch!  ugh!

So, my new journey begins and I hope you will come along to see it through.

Talk to you soon.
